More Baby Announcements

I recently had the opportunity to work with a wonderful photographer named Angela who is the owner of Casually Candid Photography. She did some beautiful photos of our family ( some seen in my baby announcement from the previous post) and I designed some exclusive birth announcements for her to use. It was a great chance for me to get more announcements under my belt. All the photography is by Angela. Check them out:

All Things Baby...& Announcements

Lately my life has been all things baby. Having a new little bundle of joy definitely turns your world upside down. Sleep is lacking, most days are a success if I have taken a shower and maybe cleaned the dishes. So designing my own baby announcement took longer than it probably should have, she is almost 3 months old and I just now sent them. But it was designed with love and is unique and personal and full of cute photos from when my daughter was only 10 days old.

I loved designing it and hope to design a lot more announcements for little ones and their parents. If you are interested in a unique design feel free to contact me: Melissa@whimsique.com. I will be posting more announcement designs I did for Casually Candid Photography as well as this one on my website soon! www.whimsique.com

Baby Shower for the Sweet Tooth

There have been some big changes in my life since the last post, my husband and I have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into this world on July 4th. But before the baby girl was the beautiful baby shower- hosted by my sister in law:) I, of course, did the invites and stationery- but the rest was all wendie. A fun candy theme called "sweet baby girl" couldn't be more fitting with my love of all things sweet. From gourmet cupcakes to "mocktinis" and swizzle sticks, it was a sugary shower to die for. She didn't miss a detail. Cute quotes popped up everywhere and even the prize bags matched. To counter the sweets was a savory bar full of salads, sandwiches and even a mash potato bar. Menus were at every setting and any candy you could think of adorned the sweet table. It was a wonderful way to celebrate our little girl. Take a look and be inspired!

A Very Un-Bridal Shower

So it has been months since my last post! Much has happened:) My husband and I are expecting our first child- the morning sickness is long gone now but definitely made it harder to post. We also moved which was a bit challenging. But all settled now and back in full swing! I have been busy designing new invitations for bridal showers, baby showers, save the dates, weddings... you name it!

My latest design request was for an Alice in Wonderland themed 5x7 invitation for a bridal shower. The colors being black, white, teal and magenta. This is an exciting theme because it is such a creativie movie and story and there is sooo much you can pull from! It makes me want to plan a party around this theme just to think of fun things to do for it...But for now we will focus on the invites:)

So I pulled a bunch of Alice in Wonderland themed invitations and graphics,
and played the Tim Burton movie version while I designed away. The movie is very inspiring and the tough part was trying to make it NOT look like a deck of cards or a little girls birthday invitation (although how adorable is that for a bday party?).Scroll down for the end result:)

These type of flat invites designs (with coordinating envelope) are only $2 a piece with price breaks at 100 invitations. Email me if you are looking for a personal design for your next event! Melissa@whimsique.com.

Let us know what you think:)
